this week had been quite busy for me so far. okay, i shall start with Sunday.

On Sunday after church, the youth went to Stanley's house for christmas celebration. Started off by watching Hot Shots. Some parts are quite funny but i didn't understand the story as a whole so avril, jialin, joy and i decided to play bridge instead. After the show, all of us had some food and continued with games. We played so many games i think i can't rmb all. Anyway 'Gestures' and the 'ma tong game' were the funniest. LOL. After the games we were all so tired so we watched 'Keeping The Faith' instead. As we were watching the show, people started leaving and I left too, which was about 7 plus. Went to my aunt's house after that but i didn't feel like eating anything at the buffet there. Hanged around and left shortly after. Haha.

On Monday, woke up late and my family spent the whole day packing the house and making some space for my stuff for next year. Wanted to go to Ikea to get new curtains for my room but we were too tired so we ordered Pizza Hut instead and enjoyed our delicious log cake (= Hehe.

On Tuesday, Gelin and I went to Yuru's house to play tennis. But due to the scorching sun, which made us tired easily, we rested quite alot instead of making use of the 2 hrs. Went to Yuru's house to slack and talk for awhile then Gelin and I went to kfc for lunch. We got excited about school the next day so we decided to meet first then go. Haha. At night, one of my OGL informed me that the attire for the next day was casual wear. I was fretting about what to wear so i asked Junping and she said will be playing games so I decided to wear shorts. Haha

On Wednesday, woke up at like 7 and felt freaking tired. I kinda took my time to get ready and stuff and I was like super late so I had to sprint to Tampines Mrt station. Met Gelin there and went together. Got to take a look at my new classmates and Gelin, Kelly and Yixian are in the same class as me, 1D'06. We were given and orientation pack first. There were so many nice things inside! I like the Orientation file, shirt and MPH voucher best. Hehe.

Went on to ice breakers and after that there was this pole dancing competition. Some OGLs were very good at it and it was very funny! Hehe. After lunch, we went on to a game with at different stations and somehow my class was kinda soft at cheering. Maybe haven't warmed up. Haha. And one of the station invloved everyone to take turns to run and take a pole and spin around it 10 times. Some people fell off due to dizzy-ness and actually the scene was kinda hilarious. I know it's very bad but I really can't help it =p

The last game was like amazing race. My gosh. We were like running all around the school and at a few points of time I was like 'Where are we?' I guess this is quite normal when you're unfamiliar with a school. It just looks like a big maze. And I was super tired after running so much. Haha.

Had a drink and talked to my new classmates while awaiting my parents. I then went with my parents to the Auditorium for a talk. It was quite similar to the Open House except for some details and about the Tablet PC. Actually I was thinking that it wouldn't be necessary to buy one because it's quite ex and I alr have a laptop at home. But the teacher was like talking about it's functions and saying more than 99.5% of the pioneer batch bought it. I think that's why my father agreed to buy it immediately. =D I'm excited for it! Hehe.

My parents went to talk to the Insurance and Fujitsu Vendors outside for awhile but it was quite crowded and I wanted to leave because I was quite tired so we went off for dinner at the opp. hawker centre. I slept like immediately upon lying on my bed. Haha.

Intend to enjoy my last 2 days of holidays by err. not sure yet. Heh.
and await for 2006. (=

Chronicles Of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.

I went to watch the preview of this movie yesterday for free! Haha. My parents had 4 free tickets because they recently upgraded their handphones and Starhub kindly gave them 2 free tickets, $100 Tangs voucher and $20 Swensens voucher each. And my father got the bluetooth handsfree thing for free! Roadshows always rock! =)

I didn't read the book before and i had no idea what the movie was about, but it was very easy to understand. Hmmm the sound effects, acting and stuff were not bad. Haha. It's just very classic like. And I think it just puts across a message about family values and trust. Anyway I liked the beavers best! So cute! Lol.

I had tennis in the morning and I just finished my lunch, so its time to have my full post on HK trip! And hopefully I can finish before going to watch the preview of Chronicles of Narnia tonight! =)

day 1 (11 dec)

Reached the airport at about 5+ in the morning. Went to check in our luggage and get out air tickets. To my surprise, I saw Tai Jin! My ballet friend! She's on the same tour package as me! Wad a coincidence. Haha.

Anyway, when we reached HK, the airport was super crowded. We had to queue for like 1 hr to 2 hrs to get our passports stamped. When it was my turn, the man flipped open my passport and stamped on the side beside my photo. Then, he shut it tight. When I flipped open my passport photo, half of my photo had black ink on it! AHHH! Nvm, I can’t possibly lodge a complaint over such an issue.

We then took a bus to our hotel to put our stuff. It is quite far away from town but relatively nice and big. It’s a pity that it’s so far away, well but I think that's the reason why it is cheaper. Lol. We had lunch at the hotel because we were really really hungry. We ordered a few simple dishes like noodles and rice. Those dishes were super nice, just cooked in a different style from Singapore. Haha.

Left for Sha Tin. We had to take 2 public buses there. And each bus trip we had to pay 14.5 and 9.5 respectively. So it’s like 24 / 4.5 = $5.30 Wow. So ex! Can’t imagine spending so much on my transport everyday if I was living there. Went to shop around and my mother bought 3 handbags from Esprit! One was for a gift. Haha. I guess those are the only things that we can buy because the clothes are generally long-sleeved or jackets.

Had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant. I had congee as it was really cold! It’s the nicest congee I ever had! Lol. I never liked congee or porridge and will not voluntarily eat it but I really liked that one. Haha.

Some Pictures for Day 1

Day 2 ( 12 Dec)

City Tour.

We were brought to a Chinese Restaurant to have Tim Sum breakfast. A standard breakfast that people in Hong Kong would eat. And it was nice! I ate a lot till I was really full. Haha. Okay, practically all the meals were nice. =p

Next Stop. Victoria peak. And on the way there the tour guide was telling us about some history thing in Cantonese. I didn’t understand and I was really bored. So somehow I fell asleep and I think she saw me! So paiseh! Haha. Took some pictures there and came down.
Went to some jewelry shop and again, the person explained everything in Cantonese. I tried to listen and I think I kinda understand what she was saying, with the help of my father of course. Haha. Some people bought the pendent with their zodiac spinning inside, I think it’s not exactly nice and my mother has it already. So we didn’t buy anything.

After having lunch at a Chinese restaurant, we went to the bump boat ride at Aberdeen. Then, we went to Repulse Bay. Some people were actually swimming in the beach when it was so cold! We took some pictures and walked around. Actually it’s just a normal beach. Not sure why it is so popular. Haha.

We then went to have dessert at a dessert shop. All of us had the same dessert. It’s really special and I think it can only be found at the shop. It’s like steamed egg white on top with black sesame at the bottom. So you can choose to eat it after mixing it or eat a layer at a time. I ate a layer at the time. It’s delicious! Hehe.

Avenue of stars was the nicest! Probably it’s because it’s the only tourist attraction that day that I’ve never been to before. There were handprints of many famous HK stars. And there was one handprint that was super crowded by Eurasians. Jackie Chan! I guess that’s the only star they know. Haha. As usual, took a lot of pictures.

Last stop, Wishing Tree. In HK dramas, its like filled with those wishes. However, there were only a few wishes on the tree when I went. And at the side, it says in Chinese: “Please save the wishing tree. Do not step around this area.” The tree looks really old and frail. But I wonder if people really listen to the signboard. A few people in my tour group were already stepping in that area. Haha.

Dinner was at a seafood restaurant. The seafood was really fresh but there were A LOT of dishes and the serving was really large. I wish I could bring back to S’pore. Lol.

Pictures for day 2

day 3 (13 dec)

Disneyland!

We transferred to Hollywood Hotel in the morning and reached Disneyland at about 11 and there were A LOT A LOT of people queuing up to get their bags checked and get in. We had to wait for about half an hr before we could really get in. And I read the news recently that on that day, it was the day with the highest record of visitors! Lol. No wonder it we were packed like sardines! Haha.

It is quite small, probably because other phases of Disneyland have yet to be opened. The approximate time that you have to wait for a ride is like 100 mins to 200 mins. Thus, I only sat one ride as I did not have much patience. We even had to queue for 45 mins to take a photo with the characters like Mickey and Minnie. I only took with Minnie and the cat. I’m not sure what it is called. Haha.

The parade was nice. Quite entertaining at least. And shopping was the most fun! =p It’s quite a good way to get away from the crowd for a moment. Bought some souvenirs that are more special. We wanted to have dinner at a restaurant but it was full house! Thus, we had to eat burger. Sounds quite pathetic. Haha.

At about 6 plus, we were already queuing up to wait for the fireworks to start. I think we got quite a good view and my father recorded part of it. It’s VERY nice! I thought it would be like a few minutes only. But it was for about 20 mins! Okay, to be true, this was the part of Disneyland I enjoyed most! Haha.

We took a shuttle bus to Hollywood Hotel and it’s SUPER nice! Mickey’s head was everywhere. I got really excited when I entered the hotel and room. I even took pictures of the room! And there was a nice so-called park in its compound! The pictures will tell everything. Haha.

Day 4 ( 14 dec)

Spent the whole morning taking pictures and having breakfast at the hotel. Then, we left for our free and easy day. We took a bus to Stanley market to have our lunch and supposedly to do some shopping. Haha. However, it looks like Chinatown. And the things there weren’t exactly nice so we didn’t buy much stuff and left the place for Mong Kok where Sports Street and “Nu Ren Jie” are.

Sports Street is really a place where you can find all the sports stuff! There were so many sports shops. But actually they sell about the same stuff. But at different prices. So it’s good to work around and compare. I bought a pair of Nike Dunks. I realized that it’s sold in Singapore too. But it’s cheaper there. Haha.

We then have dessert at the famous Hui Liu Shan which can be found at almost everywhere at HongKong. It’s unique and nice. But quite costly because it’s original. Haha.

We proceeded to Nu Ren Jie for shopping. Its not that crowded as I thought it would be. Anyway, you can get really good bargains there if you don’t mind the quality. I bought a lot of shower cap and some small stuff over there. And you can bargain with the person and slash the price by about half. My uncle bought a bag at 60 when the original price is like 140.

We were dead beat and went back to the hotel to rest. We had tarts for dinner as we weren’t really hungry.

Day 5 ( 15 dec )

Woke up early to go to Wan Chai for breakfast. Actually it is the place with all the protestors are. We risked our lives to eat at the famous restaurant called Honolulu Restaurant. Cute name. Haha. The food there was really nice! Especially the egg tarts! It’s really soft and crispy. Too bad I can’t bring it back to Singapore.

We then left for Times Square to shop around. The shops are about the same as Singapore except for some special ones. After lunch, we left for Causeway Bay to find some soap shop or something. Unfortunately, it shifted so we went to City Harbour to shop. Its quite boring there. I wasn’t interested in those stuff and somehow I missed Singapore.

I was really glad that we left for the airport thereafter and we reached Singapore safely! (= Haha.
